Form In-situ Foam

A two-part liquid resin, which expands 20-25 times its own volume to form a closed-cell, rigid, polyurethane foam. It cures quickly and can be trimmed with a saw or knife. The cured surface is reasonably water-resistant however exposed, cut surfaces need to be sealed however otherwise water will be absorbed.

Uses include:-

Perimeter fixing of door and window frames
Lagging and encapsulation of enclosed pipework
 Buoyancy aid in boats
Wall penetrations for wires and pipes

 Many other gap filling applications.

Tips for Using

Two part foam is very fast acting and cures quickly. Mix only enough for the job in hand. Fill large voids with two or more mixes to avoid wastage. Horizontal voids can be filled easily by pouring in the foaming mix.

For vertical voids, like pipe entries through walls, cut two pieces of cardboard to fit exactly round the pipe but larger than the void. Place the first piece of cardboard round the pipe at the bottom and tape in place. Make a funnel from a paper cone and pour the foaming resin through this into the void. Immediately place the second piece of cardboard over the rest of the void and hold or tape in place until the foam has set. (usually about 5 minutes).
